General Manager
Job Description
Manage the day to day operations of the company in order to meet set business objectives. The General Manager drives the company to reach desired sales results, market share and geographic coverage. In addition to this, has an ultimate responsibility to maintain collection and debt ages at acceptable levels, and maintain an acceptable balance of goods at the end of the year inline with the general policy of the company
Job Responsibilities
• Develop the company strategic and operational plans to ensure steady and continual growth of the company.
• Oversee the execution the business plan and follow up on the achievements.
• Conduct the risk analysis of assigned operations and manage it in collaboration with the companystaff.
• Organize and control all operations in a manner which effectively delivers plans and business outcomes.
• Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by the company.
• Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by conducting regular visits to the customers’ premises.
• Monitor the stock levels of items/ materials in the warehouse to meet the business needs.
• Review and place purchase orders and follow up correspondences with the suppliers.
• Notify suppliers with any technical or logistical issues related to the items/ materials.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers.
• Submit monthly reports to the Regional Manager regarding sales performance.
• Develop and oversee the annual operating budget
• Manage expenses in compliance with the annual budget.
• Monitor customers’ accounts and collection process.
• Conduct daily meeting with the sales team to discuss sales opportunities and potential / current customers’ needs and requisitions.
• Ensure all company sections are properly staffed and well equipped to perform duties effectively.
• Recruit, train and evaluate staff.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to subordinates
• Oversee the governmental / veterinary licenses and any other registration and permission needs.
• Attend conferences and keep up to date on latest industry development
Skills
