Algeria: Head of Mission
Responsibilities
Defines the mission operational strategy in partnership with the Operational Cell in Brussels and the Coordination team.
Represents MSF at a national level and is responsible for the development of a communication policy within the host country.
Is responsible for coordinating the effective implementation of all projects in his/her country area.
Has the final responsibility for all policy and management aspects of MSF in the mission (administration, logistics, finances, human resources, and MSF association).
Has ultimate responsibility for all security aspects of the mission.
Provides coaching and support to the capital Coordination team and Field Coordinators
Requirements
Education
- University degree. Particularly in international relations, public health or law is a plus.
Experience
- At least two years in senior management positions in humanitarian aid.
- Confirmed MSF experience in a similar position compulsory

- French: level B2 min.
- English : level B2 min.
- Arabic: level B1 min.
Conditions
- One year fixed-term field contract (extendable)
- Salary according to MSF-OCB Field salary scale. Transport, accommodation, vaccination are taken in charge by MSF. Per diem + medical insurance
- Expected starting date: End of March 2016
