Office Assistant - Department of the Navy - China Lake, CA
This position will provide support to the Weapons and Energetics Department at China Lake, CA. The incumbent will perform a full range of administrative duties including planning, coordination, and prioritization of tasks.
This position has promotion potential to the DG-03 level. The incumbent may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.

This position is a Drug Testing Designated Position (TDP). DUTIES:
Prepare and review of various correspondences ensuring proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format.
Process travel orders and vouchers, and coordinate itineraries.
Maintain filing, screen calls, pick-up and distribute mail.
Update supervisor’s calendar, setup meeting arrangements, and maintains unit’s leave and attendance records. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

OR have completed 2 years of education above high school. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school, (You must submit transcripts.)
