JOB SUMMARY: Review and audit revenues for all revenue-producing departments. Prepare and post Daily Revenue Journal; reconcile and maintain applicable books, ledgers, accounts; prepare routine and special reports as assigned. Assist and train Revenue Auditors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required skills and knowledge:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Working knowledge of gaming revenue audits.
- 5year’s experience with Casino audit functions.
- Working knowledge of intermediate accounting procedures.
- 10-key by touch.
- Intermediate math skills.
- Intermediate computer skills, to include the Microsoft Office Suite with advance Excel.
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
Preferred skills and knowledge:
- Completion of a 2year college degree in accounting.
- Previous supervisory experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit for assigned shift.
- Manual and finger dexterity for operation of 10-key, personal computer and preparation of routine paperwork.
- Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Knowledge of department Guest Service Standards.
- Knowledge of casino promotions.
- Review and audit revenue and cash paperwork for the Cage, Slots and all revenue-producing departments, investigate anomalies and note instances of violations of internal control procedures.
- Prepare and post Daily or Monthly Revenue Journal for review and post entries after review.
- Prepare and maintain all assigned logs and reports.
- Prepare and file Title 31-required Cash Transaction reports.
- Prepare and maintain annual IRS W-2G and 1099 Prize records.
- Attend annual continuing education classes to maintain and improve skills, as needed.
- Train and review the work of the Revenue Auditors.
- Assist Senior Accountant in evaluating Revenue Auditor performance.
- Communicate with all revenue producing departments to clarify and resolve daily revenue reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
