JOB SUMMARY: Review and audit revenues for all revenue-producing departments. Prepare and post Daily Revenue Journal; reconcile and maintain applicable books, ledgers, accounts; prepare routine and special reports as assigned. Assist and train Revenue Auditors.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Required skills and knowledge:


  • High school diploma or GED certificate.

  • Working knowledge of gaming revenue audits.

  • 5year’s experience with Casino audit functions.

  • Working knowledge of intermediate accounting procedures.

  • 10-key by touch.

  • Intermediate math skills.

  • Intermediate computer skills, to include the Microsoft Office Suite with advance Excel.

  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.

  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.

Preferred skills and knowledge:

  • Completion of a 2year college degree in accounting.

  • Previous supervisory experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Ability to sit for assigned shift.

  • Manual and finger dexterity for operation of 10-key, personal computer and preparation of routine paperwork.

  • Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Knowledge of department Guest Service Standards.

  • Knowledge of casino promotions.

  • Review and audit revenue and cash paperwork for the Cage, Slots and all revenue-producing departments, investigate anomalies and note instances of violations of internal control procedures.

  • Prepare and post Daily or Monthly Revenue Journal for review and post entries after review.

  • Prepare and maintain all assigned logs and reports.

  • Prepare and file Title 31-required Cash Transaction reports.

  • Prepare and maintain annual IRS W-2G and 1099 Prize records.

  • Attend annual continuing education classes to maintain and improve skills, as needed.

  • Train and review the work of the Revenue Auditors.

  • Assist Senior Accountant in evaluating Revenue Auditor performance.

  • Communicate with all revenue producing departments to clarify and resolve daily revenue reporting.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
